"Unbothered"

Our desperate cling to a sense of importance,
Renders us vulnerable to our reluctance,

To experience release
Caused by a bond, created at ease.

Without second thought,

With emotion ; un fought.

Passion became obsolete,

When we learnt to delve with restraint.

Replaced by short bouts of lust.
In order to remain un hurt.
But at what cost?
Our real thoughts, muffled.......lost

                         "I'm scared,
                          I'm misunderstood,
                          I'm imperfect,
                          But I like you."

In the real world,
        We're,
Terrified to say those words.

Acting through life,
    "unbothered"
When in reality, we all just wanna be love smothered.
